Interstitial cells of Cajal (ICC) are morphologically and functionally intercalated between the elements of the enteric nervous
system and the smooth muscle cells (SMCs) in the musculature of the digestive tract. Kit immunohistochemistry reliably identifies
the location of these cells and provides information on changes in ICC distribution and density. Human oesophagus specimens
(7 embryos, 23 fetuses at 7-27 weeks gestational age; both sexes) were exposed to Kit antibodies to determine ICC differentiation.
Enteric plexuses were examined immunohistochemically by using anti-neuron-specific enolase, whereas the differentiation of
SMCs was studied with antibodies against α-smooth-muscle actin and desmin. By week 7, c-kit-immunopositive cells were present
along the entire oesophagus in the form of an uninterrupted layer around the myenteric plexus (MP) elements. From the beginning
of the 3rd month, the number of ICC progressively decreased around the MP ganglia but increased within the muscle layers.
Concomitantly, differences in the number and distribution of ICC were established in the various portions of the oesophagus:
specifically, ICC were abundant in the lower portion, less numerous in the middle region and rare in the upper part. By the
5th month of development, the relationship as found in later developmental stages had been established: C-kit IR ICC were
present within the circular muscle layer, within the longitudinal layer and in the connective septa surrounding the muscle
bundles but were completely missing around the MP ganglia. 相似文献

Summary An overview on distribution, ecological preferences, threat status and bioacoustics of the keeled plump bush-cricket (Isophya costata) in northern Serbia is provided. Mowing in May and June and use of pesticides in agricultural landscapes close to habitats where I. costata occurs represent the main threats to long-term survival of this species at investigated localities. Based upon the present knowledge, this species in Serbia can be qualified as Endangered (EN) at the national level. 相似文献

In recent years, in urban areas of Novi Sad, unique ecological conditions, specific floristic and faunistic composition and
poor habits of citizens in sense of public health, facilitate the development and maintenance of ticks. Regarding the importance
of ticks as vectors of severe human and animal diseases, complex and detailed studies are conducted with an aim to find the
most efficient methods for tick control. Two tick species, Ixodes ricinus and Dermacentor marginatus, were identified during a 3-year period on the territory of Municipality of Novi Sad. During 2006, the efficacy of the pyrethroid
lambda-cyhalothrin in tick control varied from 60.7 to 100%. The highest efficacy recorded in 2007 was 92.3%. The efficacy
of lambda-cyhalothrin in 2008 varied from 39.1 to 100%. Lambda-cyhalothrin showed high efficacy in tick control at localities
which were improved before the application (mowed, litter removed, abundance control and euthanasia of abandoned cats and
dogs). The results of this research indicate that lambda-cyhalothrin has a toxic effect on ticks and could be used as efficient
acaricide for tick control, although its efficacy depends on formulation, terrain features and methods of application. 相似文献

The effects of loading on sprint kinematics were examined in 24 male students. The moment of inertia of either the arms or
legs was increased by up to 50% of their unloaded values and the time for distances of 0.5–15 m and 15–30 m from a sprint
start was measured. An increase in leg loading was associated with a gradual decrease in velocity of both sprint phases, while
the change associated with arm loading was modest and significant only in the second phase. The decrease in sprint velocity
was predominantly due to a reduction in stride rate, while the stride length remained almost unchanged. It was concluded that
leg loading affected sprint velocity more than arm loading, and also that the velocity was reduced due to a decrease in the
stride rate rather than in the stride length.

Plants of alfalfa (Medicago sativa) exhibiting general stunting, proliferation and phyllody associated with leaf yellowing and reddening were observed in three localities of Central Serbia. Phytoplasma strains belonging to 16SrIII‐B and 16SrXII‐A groups were detected and identified by RFLP and sequence analysis of 16S rDNA. Stolbur phytoplasma tuf gene RFLP analysis showed the presence of the TufAY‐b‐type phytoplasma subgroup in 80% of symptomatic samples. This is the first report of 16SrIII‐B and 16SrXII‐A phytoplasma groups affecting alfalfa in Serbia. 相似文献

The purpose of the study was to evaluate a method for testing bimanual prehension based on a novel experimental device. The device consists of two handles allowing for simultaneous measurement of bimanual hand grip forces (GF) and different patterns of load forces (LF) exerted during compression and tension along the longitudinal axis. In order to assess the reliability of the obtained measures, eight healthy subjects were tested over three consecutive test, while three moderately impaired neurological patients were tested once. In healthy subjects, high coordination was observed between GFs and LFs, as well as between two GFs and two LFs. The results also suggest a satisfactory task performance in regards to exerting the instructed LF profile, as well as a sufficient, but not excessive GF. The reliability of most of the assessed variables proved to be either moderate or high. When compared to healthy subjects, the data obtained from neurological patients mainly revealed irregular patterns of LFs, excessive GFs, as well as a relatively weak relationship between GFs and LFs. It was concluded that the evaluated methodological approach can be applied not only to explore uni- and bi-manual coordination of arm and hand grip forces in various prehensile activities, but also to serve as a basis for future development of specific clinical tests for neurological patients and other populations that demonstrate impaired hand function. 相似文献
